Sakthi
Foundation welfare projects
The Sakthi Foundation is a non profit U.S. organization, tax
exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All
donations to the Sakthi Foundation are used for charitable activities;
none are used for remuneration for the officers or volunteers of Sakthi
Foundation itself--nor for office rent or other overhead for the
organization. See
Sakthi Background (Word document)
for more details.
Below are a few
of our projects.
1. Mother and Child
project.
Sakthi Foundation extends its charity work to an important mother/baby
health project in Indonesia. This is the Yayasan Bumi Sehat (Healthy
Mother Earth) foundation of world-famous midwife Robin Lim. Robin's
organization was named the #1 NGO of Bali, chosen first among 700 others
in 2007. Robin has received the prestigious Alexander Langer award from
members of the Italian Parliament for her service to the world. See her
website
www.bumisehatbali.org or the US
volunteer website
www.robinlimsupport.org for
more details. To learn more about Sakthi's relationship to Robin and to donate towards her work-

2. Orphaned Children
College Education.
Most of the orphanages in India
support children till age of 17 or 18. When they leave the orphanage,
most of these children have very good academic performance--but at this
point all government aid or support for them ceases. The Sakthi
Foundation now sponsors a college education for some of these children.

Sakthi Foundation through the help of noble hearts have helped to get
this kid a wheel chair and the kid is relieved from painful crawling to
go to school. Please
