Fire Therapy:
Just
taking care of diet alone is not sufficient to control diabetes. Walking
is the most important exercise to keep blood sugar in control. You would
recollect that when insulin levels are low in the diabetic person, the
only way to lower the blood glucose is to increase the glucose uptake by
muscle cells. Muscle cells will use blood glucose when they need energy.
When will muscle cells require energy to use glucose?. Only when you
exercise, the muscle cells will use glucose. Therefore do as much walking
and other physical exercises possible. This will increase the muscle cells
to take up glucose from the blood. If a
diabetic does brisk walking morning and evening half an hour to one
hour, then blood sugar is very much controlled. Read more about the
importance of walking in FIRE section.
Three things are very much crucial to control diabetes.
1. Unrefined , unprocessed food.
Walking:
2. Brisk
OUT DOOR walking (no walking indoors and also while walking out-door, use
no music system hooked to your ears. Walking relaxes your body and mind
and that is the secret.
3. Peaceful
mind
We have in
our experience helped people who had adopted this holistic approach and
were able to cut insulin injections, medications and finally healed
themselves.
I hear from
many diabetic that do a lot of walking at workplace. House wives also tell
that they do a lot of walking at home while doing household activities. It
is very important to understand that , the walking done at work will not
help. The reason is because that walking is not a relaxed walking. The
mind is so engaged at the thought of work and is not relaxed.
Without relaxing the mind, the blood sugar cannot be controlled with just
diet. This is why we fail in controlling diabetes. So the important point
is to relax the mind. SO walking outside, where one would relax the mind
is very important. This could be a park, beach, lakeshore, river side.
